LEAD-ME Workshop "Future of Digital Accessibility"

On July 9th, the LEAD-ME COST (CA19142) Action (https://lead-me-cost.eu) will host a workshop on "The Future of Digital Accessibility." This workshop will explore the perceptions of designers, developers, end-users, and policymakers on the future of accessibility. We will examine various perspectives on the advancements, challenges, and promising avenues for fostering inclusive digital content creation and consumption. The workshop will be co-located with the ICCHP conference in Linz, Austria.
Some of the key topics to be addressed are:
- Theme 1: Digital Accessibility in the Workplace
- Exploring strategies and technologies to create inclusive work environments that ensure equal opportunities for all employees.
- Theme 2: Bridging the Digital Divide for Online Economic Activity
- Addressing how to enhance digital inclusivity to enable equitable participation in online economic activities and e-commerce.
- Theme 3: Accessible (Digital) Tourism
- Investigating ways to make digital tourism resources and services accessible to all travellers, ensuring an inclusive experience.
- Theme 4: Digital Platforms for Accessible Entertainment
- Discussing the development and implementation of digital platforms that provide accessible entertainment options for diverse audiences.
- Theme 5: Accessible Higher Education
- Examining approaches to create inclusive digital learning environments that support all students in higher education.
We would like to invite all interested LEAD-ME members to participate in this workshop actively. The workshop is intended mainly for those of you who are working on or researching digital media design. The LEAD-ME Action can reimburse up to 21 participants of its Work Groups to attend the workshop. Additionally, we can accommodate more participants with their own funding.
