Introduction
The LEAD-ME Winter Training School Madrid 2021 took place online during November 15-17, 2021. It was organized by the Facultad de Filología at the Complutense University in Madrid. The school offered media accessibility training; specifically regarding the required skills and competences of professionals and students, curriculum design and methodological approaches, and training materials and assessment. It focused on sign language and subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing. Lectures and workshops were organized following this line of research.
Participants from the industry, academia, early-career and seasoned researchers along with PhD students and master's degree students were invited to take part in a series of talks and workshops.
